BEING VISIBLE is an exciting new project focused on providing creative spaces for the LGBTQIA* community in Barking & Dagenham led by local artist Matty May and Galleon Arts Centre.

All of our workshops are for fun and no previous experience is necessary.

We’ve collaborated with a variety of local artists on a programme of workshops and events which will be a space specifically for LGBTQIA* people to connect in a welcoming environment, sharing moments of joy, reflection and an opportunity to connect. As well as this, we have our launch event where we invite the wider community to join us and celebrate queer visibility with performances from a gorgeous mix of LGBTQIA* talent.

Meet new people. Try new things.
Get a bit of that Queer joy.
